Dragon Boat Summer
June ushers in summer with temperatures climbing to 26–30°C and the rainy season in full swing. The Dragon Boat Festival is the star event, with races across Victoria Harbour, Stanley, and Sha Tin. Rice dumplings (zongzi) fill every bakery, and the city’s beaches start filling up. Indoor concerts, museum exhibitions, and air-conditioned night markets offer welcome relief from the heat. It is also the start of the summer school holiday crowd, so expect lively energy everywhere.
