Inter-Island Festival 2026

Introduction

The Inter-Island Festival is back! In November 2026, the third edition of the festival will launch, uniting the pier areas of Cheung Chau, Peng Chau, Mui Wo, and Chi Ma Wan to weave together a collective map of island life.

Highlights

This year's festival aims to challenge the common perception of outlying islands as mere fringes of the city. Instead, we invite you to view these locations as an "archipelago"—a self-sufficient, interconnected world shaped by ferry routes, tides, community traditions, and shared rituals.

Through this event, we explore the unique rhythm and spatial experience of island living. By shifting our perspective, we discover new possibilities for these islands as vibrant, independent, and growing communities. Join us as we hop between islands, following the rhythm of the sea to uncover the stories within.

Venue & Access

The festival takes place across multiple locations, including Cheung Chau, Peng Chau, Mui Wo, and Chi Ma Wan. We encourage participants to travel between the islands via ferry from Central or inter-island routes to fully experience the archipelago connection.
