Event Overview
The Hong Kong Palace Museum proudly presents "Radiance Across the Silk Road: Cultural Exchange and Buddhist Art." This significant exhibition is a collaborative effort between the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Musée Guimet (National Museum of Asian Arts, France), featuring approximately 150 precious artifacts sourced from both institutions as well as other key museums in mainland China.
Exhibition Highlights
Focusing on the Silk Road, this exhibition traces the propagation of Buddhism from the 1st to the 10th century. Follow the journey of Buddhist art as it traveled from Afghanistan to China, eventually influencing the Korean Peninsula and Japan. Visitors will gain a deeper understanding of how Asian artistic traditions evolved through centuries of migration, cultural exchange, and interconnection.
