The HZMB (Hong Kong Section) Half Marathon 2026 is officially designated as a World Athletics Platinum Label road race, making it the first such event in Hong Kong and only the fourth half marathon globally to receive this prestigious certification. Beyond the high-level competition, participants will have the rare privilege of running across the iconic Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, witnessing the grandeur of this cross-border engineering marvel.
Program Overview
With a capacity of 10,000 runners, the event brings together athletes from around the world. In addition to the race, a series of supporting activities will be held at the AsiaWorld-Expo, focusing on promoting health, fitness, and positive social values, while advancing the development of professional sports in Hong Kong with the support of BOC Hong Kong.
Race Categories & Schedule
The event features a 10km Challenge, as well as Half Marathon Challenge and Open groups. The flag-off times are as follows:
- 10km Challenge: 6:15 AM
- Half Marathon Challenge: 7:15 AM
- Half Marathon Group 1: 7:45 AM
- Half Marathon Group 2: 8:15 AM
- Half Marathon Group 3: 8:45 AM
