Overview

Spring-Time Experimental Theatre presents 'Wow, Aladdin!', a grand family musical that promises a journey filled with laughter, music, and thought-provoking moments. The story follows Aladdin, a former captain of the King's guards, who marries the Queen's favorite maid, Niusisi. Despite receiving a generous reward from the King, Aladdin’s excessive spending leaves the couple penniless and facing mounting debts.

In a desperate bid to survive, Aladdin orchestrates an elaborate scheme: both he and his wife feign illness to deceive the King and Queen, hoping to gain their sympathy and support. However, their foolish plan is exposed by the upright Prince, who faces an agonizing dilemma between his sense of justice and his personal friendship. As news of the fake illness spreads, the King and Queen decide to visit the couple in person, just as the family’s guardian 'Genie' returns, setting the stage for a chaotic and unpredictable conclusion to their web of lies.
