Presented by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) in collaboration with Tai Kwun, this chamber music concert invites audiences into the emotive world of late Romanticism through the works of Brahms and Bowen. Program
The concert explores the lyrical depth of Brahms’ late works alongside the diverse emotional palette of Bowen’s compositions. The performance lasts approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes without an interval. The repertoire includes:
- Brahms | In Autumn, Op. 104 (arranged for string quartet)
- Brahms | Intermezzo, Op. 119/1 (arranged for string quartet)
- Bowen | Phantasy Quintet for bass clarinet and strings, Op. 93
- Brahms | Clarinet Quintet in B minor, Op. 115
Performers
The concert features talented musicians from the HK Phil, including violinists Miyaka Wesson and Fang Jie, violist Hung I-Fan, cellist Song Tai-Mei, and clarinetist Andrew Simon, who will perform both clarinet and bass clarinet duties.

The concert will be held at the JC Cube, Tai Kwun, located at 10 Hollywood Road, Central, Hong Kong. Tai Kwun is easily accessible via the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator system or from the MTR Central Station.
