The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) presents 'Swire Denim Series: George Li Plays Beethoven,' a concert that invites audiences to immerse themselves in the early musical landscape of Ludwig van Beethoven. Performers

We are delighted to feature the Silver Medalist of the Tchaikovsky International Competition, pianist George Li, renowned for his technical brilliance and profound artistic insight. The orchestra will be led by concertmaster Glenn Christensen, who will engage in seamless musical interplay with Li to deliver a compelling performance.

Program

The concert program highlights three significant works by Beethoven:

  • The Creatures of Prometheus Overture, Op. 43: A dramatically charged and artistically evocative opening.
  • Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15: A piece that showcases youthful vitality combined with the pianist's masterful technique.
