Highlights
The "Music Creation MO x e-Orchestra Concert 2026" is a dedicated showcase of the Music Office’s efforts in integrating arts and technology (Art Tech) within local music education. This year's concert brings together four prominent school e-orchestras: Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) Primary School, Hennessy Road Government Primary School (Causeway Bay), Hong Kong Christian Chinese Church Union Logos Academy, and Christian & Missionary Alliance Sun Kei Primary School. Students will present original multimedia e-orchestra works that demonstrate their innovative learning outcomes and creativity in digital music.
Program
The concert offers a diverse program that blends electronic music with live instrumental performance. In addition to the student ensembles, guest performers from the "e-Orchestra @ The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) Contemporary Music and Digital Music Instrument Lab" will present their own original works. A highlight of the evening includes two special pieces commissioned by the Music Office and sponsored by the CASH Music Fund: Luk Wai-chun’s "Sounds of Spring," which uses both Chinese and Western instrumental timbres to paint a vivid picture of spring, and Lau Hiu-lam’s "Robot Fantasia," an imaginative dialogue between electronic textures and orchestral melodies. Students from Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) Primary School and Hennessy Road Government Primary School (Causeway Bay) will also perform alongside their school's traditional instrumental groups, highlighting the potential for seamless cross-genre musical collaboration.
Venue & Access
The concert will be held at the Ngau Tau Kok Cultural Centre Theatre, which is easily accessible for music lovers and families.
