Highlights
In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the French publication of 'The Little Prince,' the University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG) at HKU, in collaboration with the Alliance Française de Hong Kong, presents 'The Little Prince and the Pilot.' This exhibition offers a cross-generational journey into the life and work of author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Visitors will explore his legendary career and life through an exclusive collection of rare photographs, letters, maps, personal belongings, manuscripts, and original book editions, portraying his roles as a writer, artist, aviation pioneer, and adventurer.

At the heart of the exhibition is the creative journey behind 'The Little Prince.' Through original design drafts, sketches, and quotes, visitors can trace the evolution of the iconic character and gain insight into the editing and publication process. The exhibition offers a profound look at the philosophy and lived experiences that shaped this literary masterpiece. A special highlight includes an exclusive 'Little Prince' character sculpture, providing a unique photo opportunity for fans. The exhibition is generously supported by IWC Schaffhausen and the HKU Museum Society.
