Highlights
The inaugural art technology platform SATA Fest presents "Between Intervals," an exhibition addressing the anxieties of efficiency in the digital age. Located at the HKADC Exhibition Hall in Wong Chuk Hang, the exhibition is free to the public. Through mediums such as sound, bio-art, and digital technology, the curatorial team engages in a dialogue with four traditional local shops, inviting visitors to rethink the relationship between humanity, time, and the city.
Program
SATA Fest brings together diverse creative works from local and international artists, featuring installation art, video pieces, and interactive experiences. The exhibition explores "slowness" as a form of resistance within our hyper-automated society. In addition to the main exhibition, the event includes screenings, lectures, and guided tours, offering deeper insights into how artists perceive and articulate time through their mediums.
Featured Exhibition Zones
The exhibition features four core zones led by local artist mentors:
- "Sweep": Interacting with "Half-Idle Mountain Hall" to examine overlooked daily details.
- "Resonance": Connecting with "Chu Wing Kee" to bridge traditional operations with modern consumption.
- "Time Delay": Engaging with "Kei Heung Chuen Tea House" using bio-art to transform tea history.
- "Composition": Collaborating with "Kwong Wah Printing" to explore the physical practice of movable type printing.
In addition to local works, international artists including Tromarama (Indonesia), Unmake Lab (South Korea), Cao Shu (China), and Priyageetha Dia (Singapore) will exhibit, showcasing a global perspective on creative convergence.
