Overview
This Christmas, Tchaikovsky’s timeless score returns to the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Grand Theatre as the Hong Kong Ballet presents its annual family-friendly tradition, "The Nutcracker," for the sixth consecutive year. This production serves as a love letter to Hong Kong, reimagined by choreographer Septime Webre. Follow the protagonist, Clara, as she embarks on a whimsical adventure, battling the evil Rat King and navigating a dream world that vividly incorporates iconic Hong Kong landmarks, including the Star Ferry. This performance beautifully blends local culture with classical ballet, making it a must-see festive event.
The production was recognized in 2024 with the UNESCO "Stars of Excellence" award and the 12th "Spirit of Hong Kong Awards" for Cultural Contribution.
