Premiere Performances of Hong Kong proudly celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026, marking two decades of dedication to bringing world-class classical music to the heart of Asia. We have curated a spectacular lineup of legendary virtuosos and rising stars to present a program that honors our past while looking toward the next generation of musical excellence.
Program Highlights
Our 20th Anniversary Season features a stunning array of solo and chamber recitals:
- Kirill Gerstein’s Liszt (2026.9.28): The renowned Russian-American pianist returns to the stage where he once inspired our founders. This performance features an all-Liszt program, including the poetic Three Petrarch Sonnets and the monumental Piano Sonata in B minor.
- Camille Thomas Cello Recital: Rendez-vous (2026.10.6): Following the record-breaking success of her 2023 Hong Kong debut, the French-Belgian cello star Camille Thomas returns alongside pianist Julien Brocal, performing works ranging from Bach/Gounod’s Ave Maria to Piazzolla’s Le Grand Tango.
- Sir Stephen Hough Piano Recital (2026.11.17): A legend of the keyboard, Sir Stephen Hough brings a meticulously crafted program featuring Beethoven’s Waldstein Sonata and Schumann’s Carnaval, showcasing his profound artistic depth and adventurous spirit.
- Rising Stars: Sola Choi & Ka Jeng Wong (2027.1.13): A showcase of future talent, Australian-Chinese cellist Sola Choi makes her Hong Kong debut alongside local piano virtuoso Ka Jeng Wong, performing Shostakovich and Mendelssohn.
