Ma Wai-him (DidaBoy), the Suona Principal of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and a recipient of the National Arts Fund, invites audiences to join his personal musical narrative. This concert centers on his "musical journey," guiding listeners from his early roots in Cantonese music through the essence of regional Chinese opera, into rigorous academic training, and finally into the vibrant fusion of contemporary cross-genre jazz.

Throughout this unique performance, Ma Wai-him will showcase his profound mastery of traditional wind instruments. The powerful and piercing sounds of the suona and the authentic charm of the Cantonese houguan will blend seamlessly with the cross-genre jazz band "Jue Yue." Using modern, innovative arrangements, the ensemble will reinterpret Chinese music. This is more than a traditional concert; it is a profound dialogue between the traditional and the modern, and between Eastern and Western musical vocabularies, allowing the audience to experience the unique charm of Hong Kong's diverse cultural landscape.
