This guided tour, "The Disappearing Yee Kwong Village," provides a final opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in the unique community atmosphere, exploring the architectural structure and human footprints of a landmark before it disappears.

Program Overview

This guided tour is more than just a site visit; it is a dialogue about the history of public housing in Hong Kong. Led by tour guide Yu Shuk-mei, participants will walk through the buildings, learning about the architectural design and the community's transformation over the past half-century. It may be the last chance for the public to visit the village as outsiders, witnessing its final state before it is replaced by urban development.

The meeting point is at the "Yee Kwong Village Hoi Au House Bus Stop (Yee Kwong Road)". Participants can reach the location via bus routes 595, 70, 70P, 76, or 971.
