Adapted from the classic American comic strip "Little Orphan Annie," "Annie JR." has become a global theatrical staple since its Broadway debut in 1977, beloved for its heart-warming storyline and iconic musical numbers. Presented by the Scout Association of Hong Kong, this production serves as a centerpiece cultural event celebrating the organization's 115th anniversary.
Set in New York during the Great Depression, the story follows the young orphan Annie. Despite the hardships of her environment, she faces the world with boundless optimism, kindness, and courage. A serendipitous encounter leads her into the life of billionaire Oliver Warbucks, initiating a transformation that changes their lives forever. The musical explores the profound meaning of family, love, and hope, reminding us all that no matter how difficult the adversity, a better tomorrow is always within reach.
