German violinist Antje Weithaas, celebrated as one of the most authoritative violinists of our time, will present the complete Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin by J.S. Bach at the HKU Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre Grand Hall on March 14, 2027. This three-hour marathon concert marks the Hong Kong premiere of these monumental works, showcasing Weithaas’s profound musical insights and technical mastery. Audiences will have the rare opportunity to experience the entire cycle in a single evening.

With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Antje Weithaas is a laureate of major international competitions, including the Kreisler, Leipzig Bach, and Hannover Joachim competitions. Named the "Instrumentalist of the Year" at the 2025 OPUS Klassik Awards, she is also a highly respected educator, with renowned students such as Ning Feng and Seiji Okamoto active on the international stage.
