Highlights
This creative workshop invites participants to join collector Chung Yin-chai in transforming everyday items like ropes, metal pipes, and bottle caps into imaginative, upcycled toys. As an extension to the exhibition "Flying Over the Warmth: Textile Traditions of Hong Kong," this event offers a unique chance for families to explore how past generations created joy through imagination despite limited resources.
Program
In "Childhood Self-Made: Daily Material Toys," local collector Chung Yin-chai guides children and parents through the craft of toy-making. Participants will create four distinct toys—paper boats, stilts, rotating toys, and catapults—using accessible materials. Chung will share personal childhood stories and his insights as a collector, concluding the session with an interactive game to bring the participants' creations to life.

The workshop is designed for children aged 6 and above. To foster a collaborative experience, each child must be accompanied by one adult. All necessary tools and materials are provided.
