The "Hong Kong Kids Tri" is the first triathlon in Hong Kong specifically designed for children aged 1.5 to 10 and the first to be held within a shopping mall environment. Supported by Olympic swimmer and event ambassador Alex Fong, the event guarantees a safe and professional experience, with his own Hong Kong Swimming School providing professional swimming facilities and safety supervision.
Program Details
The competition features four age categories: Under 3, Under 5, Under 7, and Under 10. Parental accompaniment is required for the Under 3 group, while it is optional for others. The event encourages participation for children of all skill levels; swimming aids are permitted during the swim segment. For the Under 5 and younger categories, participants may use tricycles, balance bikes, or bicycles with training wheels. Helmets are mandatory for all cycling participants for safety reasons.
Awards and Recognition
To celebrate the growth and dedication of every young athlete, awards will be presented to the top three winners in each gender category based on their actual age on the day of the race (3 to 9 years old). Every child who completes the race will receive an exclusive finisher medal and an electronic certificate, encouraging a spirit of perseverance and participation.
