Set against the backdrop of the Warring States period, the drama follows an intriguing palace legend centered on themes of political intrigue, difficult choices, and the philosophy of 'Rites and Music'. The story unfolds through the political marriage between the He State and the Le State, depicting how the new ruler, He Cheng, navigates a power struggle against General Ge Qi and the looming threat of war, ultimately choosing to pursue the ideal of 'governing the universe with rites, and harmonizing the world with music'.
