'The Dragon Slayer' is a play reading performance that stages a courtroom showdown between art, truth, and power. The plot follows Harold, a well-known theatre practitioner, who sues a critic named Mia for defamation following a scathing review. While on the surface this appears to be a clash over artistic freedom and critical responsibility, the case digs deeper into the systemic fractures within the Hong Kong theatre industry—the tension between ideals and commerce, and the struggle between reality and persistence. In this unique production, the court will be in session right before your eyes, inviting the audience to serve as the jury to witness the most authentic and painful sides of the local theatre world.
