"Play House" Stage Play @ Cactus Theatre

Overview

Cactus Theatre, together with director Wong Long-yin, presents the Hong Kong premiere of the acclaimed British playwright Martin Crimp's "Play House". This production is more than just a play; it is a profound interrogation of modern intimate relationships. Through the fragments of daily interactions between a couple—from sex and work to clearing the fridge—the playwright dissects the joys and sorrows of cohabitation, challenging the audience to ask: is "home" a sanctuary for love, or is cohabitation a desperate trap?

This one-hour production is performed in Cantonese (no subtitles). Its intense plot aims to challenge the audience's imagination regarding love, forcing us to re-examine our truest, most vulnerable selves in the presence of our partners.
