In this creative and hands-on afternoon workshop, you have the chance to become a designer and craft your very own doll companion! Guided by expert doll restorer Bao Jie, you will hand-select various head, body, and limb components to assemble a unique and whimsical character. Beyond the fun of crafting, this session serves as an introductory class on doll care, where you will learn essential skills like stuffing and fundamental hand-sewing stitches—perfect for beginners.
Program Introduction
This workshop is a special extension of the exhibition "Flying Over the Warmth: Childhood Textile in Hong Kong" at CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile). We invite participants to revisit warm childhood memories through the tactile joy of textile art, transforming nostalgia into a tangible, handmade creation. This experience bridges art, craft, and emotion, and is open to anyone aged 10 and above who loves making things by hand.
