Inspired by the environmental art concepts of renowned artist Fang Lijun, this event invites attendees to join a beach cleanup at Tai Long Wan. Participants will not only clean the beach but also learn to upcycle the collected marine plastic waste into unique, personalized art pieces on-site, fostering a deeper awareness of ecological conservation and resource sustainability.

Program Overview

Presented by the Hong Kong Arts Centre, with expert guidance from Gaau1 Up Design Studio and the Cradle Art Club, this event transforms the act of beach cleaning into a collaborative artistic endeavor. Participants will explore the artistic potential of discarded materials while actively engaging in the cleanup process. It is more than just a volunteer activity; it is a creative exercise in sustainability that challenges participants to rethink the relationship between humanity and the environment.

Performers & Instructors

The workshop is guided by professionals from "Gaau1 Up Design Studio" and "Cradle Art Club." Both organizations bring extensive expertise in eco-design and arts education, ensuring a meaningful experience as they guide participants in breathing new life into discarded plastics and exploring their aesthetic potential.

Venue & Access

The meeting point for the event is the Tai Long Wan Beach Children's Playground. As this is an outdoor event, participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing, bring plenty of drinking water, and prepare sun protection. Please plan your commute to the site in advance.
