Highlights
"Mei Ho House Family Fun Day 2026" is designed to connect modern families with the wisdom and joys of the past through a series of culturally rich activities. The "Weaving Fun" workshop is a key highlight, blending nostalgia with modern handicraft, allowing participants to transform vintage childhood play materials into trendy, functional accessories.
Program Introduction
"Skipping rubber bands" was a staple childhood memory for many in Hong Kong. Do you remember how those linked-up rubber bands connected the laughter of friends? In this workshop, we move beyond just remembering the games of the past—we give the humble rubber band a new purpose. Instructors will guide participants in using simple weaving techniques to create trendy phone lanyards. This intergenerational creative process allows parents and children to share stories from their childhoods while experiencing the satisfaction of crafting together, bridging the gap between generations through creativity.
