"World in Harmony - Music Without Borders" is Tai Kwun’s brand-new outdoor music festival, set against the historic backdrop of the Prison Yard and Laundry Steps. This festival celebrates cultural exchange and artistic innovation, bringing together top musicians and artists from Hong Kong, Asia, and Europe for a series of cross-cultural performances.

Program

The festival offers a diverse lineup of unique performances:

• Opening Concert: Featuring 2025 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition winner Zhang Zuo, who has curated the program and will perform alongside international musicians, including world premieres of newly commissioned works.
• Flamenco & Fusion: Renowned Spanish flamenco dancers team up with saxophonists and percussionists to present a vibrant dialogue of music and movement.
• Grand Finale: The German ensemble KLASSIK underground will showcase the results of a year-long collaboration with Hong Kong musicians, including the premiere of a new work by local composer LUK Wai-chun.
• Hong Kong New Music Ensemble: The ensemble will curate a series of programs at the Laundry Steps, exploring Central Asian musical traditions and contemporary artistic expressions.

Performers

The event features a stellar lineup of international and local talents, including pianist Zhang Zuo, the German ensemble KLASSIK underground, the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, and various guest musicians and flamenco artists, fostering a meaningful cultural dialogue.

Venue & Access

The festival takes place at Tai Kwun, 10 Hollywood Road, Central, Hong Kong. Visitors can access the venue via the Central-Mid-Levels Escalators or by walking from the Central MTR Station to the Prison Yard and Laundry Steps.
