Starting with precious historical paper moulds and civilian printing blocks, the tour features six contemporary art installations that redefine the role of the 'book' in modern society. This experience is not just a visual journey but also a tactile exploration of history; following the tour, participants will join a letterpress workshop to create their own custom memorial card using exclusive printing blocks from the exhibition, feeling the warmth of traditional printing techniques.

About the Program

'Beyond the Ordinary – Contemporary Book Art' is presented by the Open Printshop. The title plays on the traditional printing steps of 'composing, printing, cutting, and binding,' aiming to challenge stereotypes through contemporary creative expression. The exhibition runs over several months, offering a modern interpretation of the paper medium, making it a deep-dive educational and artistic experience.
