Welcome to the 2026 YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel Open Day! This year's theme, "The Moonlight is So Nice Tonight," seamlessly blends historical education with family-friendly entertainment. As a Grade II historic building, Mei Ho House stands as a testament to Hong Kong’s collective history. We invite visitors of all ages, especially families, to explore the rich heritage of the Sham Shui Po district and experience the unique charm of this preserved landmark.

Program

The event features a variety of engaging activities designed to showcase the character of Mei Ho House:

• Mid-Autumn Photo Spots: Beautifully curated photo zones designed for the Mid-Autumn season, perfect for capturing family memories.
• Memory Explorer: Transform into a "Memory Explorer" inside the Mei Ho House museum to collect cards and unlock codes. Follow our social media to receive limited-edition souvenirs!
• Neighborhood Guided Tours: Led by long-time residents, these tours offer deep insights into the architecture and history of the estate. Held twice daily (3:00 PM and 5:00 PM), participants should arrive early to register.
• Moonlight Hunt: Complete challenges for a chance to win mystery prizes in the grand lucky draw, including a free stay at the hostel!
• Limited-Time Room Preview: Explore the hostel rooms and experience the unique layout and design of this historic site.

Family Fun Day

The "Family Fun Day" runs from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, providing a dedicated space for families to bond and engage in fun, interactive activities. Additionally, our on-site restaurant, "House of Mei Ho," is offering a 10% discount on all-day menus, along with special children's meals.
