This highly anticipated recital features internationally acclaimed tenor Wang Kang, the first Chinese artist accepted into the Metropolitan Opera's prestigious Lindemann Young Artist Development Program. Known for his legendary career path—transitioning from a software programmer to a world-class opera star—Wang Kang brings his unique vocal prowess to Dongguan. He is joined by Grammy-nominated Russian-American pianist Natalia Katyukova, whose extensive experience as an Assistant Conductor at the Met Opera and vocal coach at Juilliard promises an exceptional musical collaboration.

The concert features masterworks by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Francesco Paolo Tosti, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Sergei Rachmaninoff. The repertoire also highlights dramatic operatic arias by Giuseppe Verdi and Giuseppe Pietri, zarzuela excerpts by Pablo Sorozábal, and contemporary compositions like Huang Ruo's "Land of Bliss" from The Monkey King, demonstrating the tenor's versatility across multiple genres and languages.

• Natalia Katyukova (Pianist): A Grammy-nominated pianist and seasoned collaborator who has worked with some of the world's leading operatic institutions. She currently serves as a collaborative piano faculty member at The Tianjin Juilliard School.

Venue & Access

This performance will take place at the Dongguan Songshan Lake Performing Arts Center Grand Theatre.
