Highlights
The 2026 National Day Fireworks Display will illuminate Victoria Harbour at 8:00 PM on October 1st. With an investment of approximately HK$18 million, the event is coordinated by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau and exclusively sponsored by Sun Life. This 23-minute pyrotechnic spectacular, themed "Sun Life Fireworks Blooming for China," features 31,888 fireworks to celebrate the nation's prosperity and Hong Kong's bright future. It is a signature annual event reflecting the vibrant spirit of Hong Kong as a global metropolis.
Program
The display utilizes 3 barges and 6 pontoons across 9 launch points, creating a massive visual canvas 900 meters wide. The show is divided into eight scenes, with the highlight "Golden Sun Warmth" in the second scene, showcasing layered, golden-red halos that mimic sunflowers. The production team has introduced cutting-edge technology for a "Pendulum Sunflower" effect, requiring precise timing within 0.01 seconds. Given the distinct burning speeds and particle sizes of each pyrotechnic element, this technical achievement promises an unprecedented visual experience for spectators.
Venue & Tips
The fireworks will be launched from the centre of Victoria Harbour. The best viewing spots include the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai, the Central Harbourfront, and the West Kowloon Cultural District. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early at prime viewing locations and stay informed about special traffic arrangements and crowd control measures implemented by the police to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
