Double Bill: How to Build______ & To:

Program

'How to Build______' and 'To:' present a compelling double-bill by emerging choreographers. The former, rooted in daily labor and the aesthetics of hardware workshops, uses task-based choreography and stage design to investigate the tension between physical skill and societal perceptions of gender roles. The latter explores the lingering ripples of loss, examining how memories permeate our daily lives and questioning how we can coexist with the inevitable farewells we encounter.

This dance performance offers a powerful theatrical experience, blending precise body movement with nuanced emotional storytelling. Through the symbolic translation of mundane actions and abstract expressions of emotional turbulence, these emerging artists invite the audience to reflect on contemporary themes of gender, labor, and human connection. Witness these unique perspectives up-close in the intimate setting of a black box theatre.

Performance Information

The performance runs for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission. Please arrive on time. Latecomers and those leaving mid-performance will only be admitted at appropriate intervals. The organizers reserve the right to change the program and performers. This program does not reflect the views of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Venue & Access

The venue is the Tai Po Civic Centre Black Box Theatre (12 On Pong Road, Tai Po, N.T.). Attendees can reach the venue via bus or MTR (Tai Po Market Station) followed by a short walk or bus ride to Tai Po Centre Bus Terminus.
