Under the artistic direction of guest choreographer Xie Yin, the performance delves deep into the spirit of Eileen Chang's legendary literary collection, 'Romances.' This is more than a dance performance; it is a profound dialogue between literature and physical space, utilizing fluid movement and multi-layered media design to construct ten distinct realms and lives on stage.

Program

Eileen Chang, a singular voice in 20th-century Chinese literature, captured life's complexities with a sharp, distinct perspective. This production transforms her literary symbols into dynamic dance, allowing them to bloom anew in a theatrical setting. From the bustling city streets to the desolate corners of the human heart, audiences will be immersed in the sharp contrasts and contradictions of Chang's world. Through powerful physicality, the dancers interpret fleeting destinies, turning literary imagery into a sensory feast and continuing the legacy of Hong Kong's cultural classics.

Venue & Access

The performance takes place at the Kwai Tsing Theatre Auditorium, located at 12 Hing Ning Road, Kwai Chung. The venue is easily accessible via the Kwai Fong MTR station. We recommend arriving early.

Ticketing

Tickets are available in four price tiers: HK$480, HK$380, HK$280, and HK$180. Various discounts are available, including flexible booking packages and group purchase offers via the Art-mate platform. Concession tickets (50% off) are available for students, senior citizens, people with disabilities and their caretakers, and CSSA recipients, subject to availability.
