Highlights
"Freespace Vol 5: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" is a unique performance blending the energy of rock music with the depth of literature. Local indie rock band Midnight Cowboy returns to the West Kowloon Cultural District's "Freespace" music series to reinterpret the witty and philosophical Cantonese poems of Hong Kong poet Yam Gong. This concert explores how we can find warmth and strength through connection in uncertain times.
Program
Taking its title from Yam Gong's evocative line "We Love Each Other in the Midst of Disaster" (with the English subtitle referencing the classic film "Dr. Strangelove": "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb"), the concert carries profound contemporary significance. The band will perform tracks from their debut album, See You Down The Road, accompanied by carefully curated live visuals and spoken word performances. This fusion of poetic rhythm and rock intensity promises an immersive experience for the senses.
