Highlights

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Premiere Performances of Hong Kong, the illustrious pianist Yuja Wang makes her triumphant return. In these two special concerts, Yuja Wang will take on the dual role of soloist and conductor, leading the internationally acclaimed Mahler Chamber Orchestra, founded by the legendary Claudio Abbado. As the opening leg of her Asia tour, these Hong Kong performances promise to be an unforgettable artistic experience.

Program

The program features a diverse selection of masterpieces across two nights:

• November 9 (Monday): A night dedicated to Johannes Brahms, featuring Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor, Op. 15, and Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat major, Op. 83.
• November 10 (Tuesday): A varied repertoire including Prokofiev's Symphony No. 1, "Classical"; Kapustin's Piano Concerto No. 4, Op. 56; Mozart's Symphony No. 29 in A major, K. 201; and Zfasman's Jazz Suite for piano and orchestra.

Note: The symphonic works will be performed without a conductor by the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.

• Yuja Wang: A world-renowned pianist celebrated for her virtuosic technical command and charismatic stage presence. She will perform as both conductor and soloist.
• Mahler Chamber Orchestra: Founded in 1997 by Claudio Abbado, this elite ensemble is recognized for its exceptional quality and international collaborations.

Ticketing

Tickets are now available at prices of HK$1980, HK$1480, HK$1080, HK$680, and HK$320. Purchases can be made via Art-mate. There is a limit of 4 tickets per transaction.

Venue & Access

The concert will be held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall in Tsim Sha Tsui. The venue is easily accessible via MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station. Please note the event is suitable for ages 8 and up. Latecomers may not be admitted, so please plan your travel accordingly.
