The 'One Bowl of Rice, Two Families' (一碗米飯‧兩個家庭) charity campaign, organised by the Metta (窰匠) organisation, is a heartwarming initiative designed to alleviate hunger and provide sustainable support to vulnerable communities in Cambodia. By participating in this 2026 charity sale, you are not only securing a healthy product for your own kitchen but directly participating in a cycle of giving that feeds the hungry.

The Mission

The core concept is simple: for every purchase of two packs of organic red rice, one pack is retained by the donor, and the second pack is donated to the Metta Life Growth Centre in Cambodia. Every second Monday evening, the children supported by the centre prepare meals using these donations to distribute to homeless families and children living on the streets of Phnom Penh. This initiative aims to provide more than just calories; it is a bridge to start conversations and offer hope to those struggling to survive.

How to Support

• Campaign Period: The fundraiser runs from June 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026.
• Product: 90g packs of Organic Red Rice (免浸有機紅米).
• Price: HK$80 per donation package.
• Giving Back: If you donate HK$100 or more, you are eligible for a tax-deductible receipt (applicable in Hong Kong).
