Program Introduction

Copperplate printmaking is a medium rich in detail and texture. In "Colorful Flow: Copperplate Color Registration and Aquatint Workshop," veteran printmaker Zhang Zhongzhu guides participants into the intricate world of intaglio printing. The curriculum focuses on "Aquatint" techniques and multi-plate color registration. Participants will explore color theory and learn how to create tonal gradients on copper plates, using multiple plates to build depth, rhythm, and visual complexity in their prints. This five-session workshop is ideal for art enthusiasts looking to deepen their technical mastery of printmaking.
