Program Introduction

'Creation of the Gods I' is adapted from the classic literature 'Investiture of the Gods'. The narrative follows the second prince of the Shang Dynasty, Yin Shou, who leads an army to quell a rebellion in Jizhou, unintentionally releasing a fox spirit that possesses Su Daji. As Yin Shou usurps the throne, heaven's curse descends upon the land. The sage Jiang Ziya descends with the 'List of Gods' to find a true leader, while Prince Yinjiao and the hostage Ji Fa are caught in a web of greed, supernatural intrigue, and power struggles. The film has a runtime of 148 minutes, is in Mandarin, and features both Chinese and English subtitles.
