Highlights

The "Sea Gem Charm Workshop" is a featured event of the "People's Quarryside Festival 2026," blending environmental education with artistic craftsmanship. Participants will not only create unique souvenirs but also gain a deep understanding of marine conservation and how upcycling can breathe new life into waste, embodying the philosophy of "Less Waste, More Wonder."

Program Details

Have you ever noticed broken glass fragments scattered on the beach? Once discarded, these shards are polished by the relentless tides and sand, eventually transforming into smooth "sea gems." This workshop begins with an introduction to the current state of marine debris, exploring its origins and its impact on our ecosystems. Under the guidance of our instructors, participants will carefully select these oceanic treasures to design and create their own custom sea gem charms. This is more than just a crafting session; it is a profound dialogue about our environment, turning ecological awareness into beautiful, daily-wear accessories.

Partners

The event is presented by "Quarryside" with creative support from "SEAnergy." SEAnergy is dedicated to marine conservation and the circular economy, utilizing beach cleanups, upcycling projects, STEM education, and creative workshops to transform marine debris into valuable art and lifestyle products, fostering a culture of sustainability.
