Highlights

The Hong Kong Sculpture Society is proud to present the "Sculpture • Power" 2026 Exhibition, taking place from October 7 to 13, 2026, at the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC) in Shek Kip Mei. Supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, this exhibition delves into the multi-faceted power of sculpture as a three-dimensional art form. Featuring over 60 works, the event showcases the intergenerational dialogue and innovative thinking within the local sculpture community.

Program

The exhibition is centered around the theme of "Power," exploring sculpture through four distinct lenses:

  • Material Power: Highlighting the physical mass, presence, and structural tension of materials.
  • Spiritual Power: Examining the emotions, philosophical thoughts, and cultural connotations embedded in the works.
  • Social Power: Investigating the role of sculpture as a medium for public dialogue and social engagement.
  • Healing Power: Reflecting on how contemporary art provides solace, recovery, and introspection for individuals and society.

The exhibition fosters an intergenerational dialogue, juxtaposing works from consultants and members to reveal how local artists navigate the interplay between global trends, local identity, traditional crafts, and new technologies. Guided tours will be available throughout the exhibition to provide deeper insight into the creative processes.
