Experience a journey into the depths of human consciousness with the stage production 《在月台邂逅》 (Encounter at the Platform), brought to life by The Sardine. Directed by Chan Pui-lam with a script by the acclaimed Poon Wai-sum, this play invites the audience into a liminal space where reality and anxiety collide.

The Story

Set in a deserted and frozen train station, the narrative follows two strangers who meet by chance. While they share the same physical space, their minds are worlds apart, drifting through personal anxieties, memories, and regrets. As the train remains indefinitely delayed and all communication lines are severed, the station becomes a metaphor for a 'modern tomb'—a place where the soul is trapped. Through their tense interactions, from initial suspicion to intimate dialogue about life, death, and unreachable destinations, the characters attempt to find meaning in their existence.

Production Team

The production features a talented cast including Wong Ka-chun, To Yim-shan, Hung Ka-chak, and Lui Long-kwan. It is worth noting that Poon Wai-sum’s participation is made possible through the support of the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre.

How to Join

The performances are scheduled for early July 2026. Please check the Art-mate ticketing page to secure your seats. Given the intimate nature of the Cattle Depot Theatre, booking in advance is highly recommended.
