Hoko's Mendelssohn and Marsalis

Highlights

This concert offers a compelling journey through diverse musical styles. A key highlight is the special arrangement of Vivaldi's famous La Follia, performed by a string quartet with added percussion, breathing new life and dynamic energy into the baroque classic. The program also showcases the narrative depths of Wynton Marsalis' At The Octoroon Balls (selections) alongside the emotional intensity of Mendelssohn's String Quartet No. 2 in A Minor, highlighting the versatility and expressive range of the string quartet medium.
