About the Production

"BADtime Story" is a profound theatrical exploration of insomnia, loneliness, and the internal friction of modern existence. Through the intimate lens of a "bedtime story" told on a sleepless night, the play delves into the pursuit of a metaphorical "Little Antarctica." Utilizing a non-linear narrative, the performance weaves together monologues, juggling, and improvisational drawing, effectively blurring the lines between reality and dreamscape. This production invites the audience to embark on a poetic journey, piecing together scattered fragments of the subconscious to find a path back to inner peace.

The Creative Team

The production is conceptualized, written, and produced by Wong Cheuk-ni, with Leung Ching-sum serving as the director and spatial designer. The talented cast features Chung Yik-sau, Mo Hiu-shan, and Li Yu-chun, who bring the script's emotional depth to life. The production team is composed of professionals including sound designer Yuki Yoshida, lighting designer Hui Wing-yan, costume designer Yau Cheuk-yi, and stage manager Yuen Man-yiu, all working in unison to create an immersive theatre experience.

The performance will take place at the JCCAC Black Box Theatre, located in the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre, which is conveniently accessible near Shek Kip Mei MTR Station, serving as a hub for the arts in Hong Kong.
