Highlights

Welcome to the Green in Tuen Mun: Migratory Bird Tracking Fun Day! As autumn arrives, it is the perfect season for migratory birds to head south for the winter. This event, held in celebration of World Migratory Bird Day, offers a series of exciting and educational activities to help you understand these "mysterious visitors" arriving from afar. Whether you are a family, an environmental enthusiast, or looking for a relaxing weekend spot, this event is perfect for you.

Program

This carnival is packed with educational and fun experiences:

  • Migratory Bird Exhibition: Explore the habits of migratory birds and why they choose Hong Kong's wetlands and farmlands as their transit or wintering grounds.
  • Interactive Booth Games: Learn about bird ecology and the importance of environmental conservation through fun and engaging games.
  • Eco-Workshops: Participate in hands-on workshops to craft eco-friendly items and develop a love for nature.
  • Migration Education: Learn about the threats birds face during migration, including habitat destruction and pollution, and discover how to observe birds respectfully.

Reward Program

To encourage active participation in green initiatives, we are hosting a "Learn & Earn" point program:

  • Participate in at least two activities or complete a second-hand item recycling registration to earn bonus points.
  • Collect enough points to redeem fantastic rewards, adding extra fun to your eco-friendly journey!

Important Notes

  • For everyone's safety, if you have a fever or feel unwell, please stay home.
  • Children aged 8 or below must be accompanied by an adult for workshops and complete the craft together.
  • Workshop spots are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis; queuing starts 20 minutes before each session.
  • Please remember to "take your trash with you" and keep the environment clean while enjoying nature.
