Dance × Photography: Wandering Between Movement and Stillness【Taste・Move Dance Festival 2026】

Overview

Welcome to "Dance × Photography: Wandering Between Movement and Stillness," a special project featured in the "Taste・Move Dance Festival 2026." This workshop seeks to dismantle the boundaries between artistic forms, inviting participants to use the body as a creative medium to explore the tension of movement and spatial narrative through a photographic lens.

Highlights

In this experimental process, participants will navigate the spaces of Langham Place in Mong Kok, capturing the dialogue between the human body and architectural structures through photography. We focus not only on composition and lines in photography but, more importantly, on reinterpreting these "frozen moments."

Guided by mentor Tsang Luk-san, participants will transform the emotions, poses, and spatial sensations found in their photographs into tangible dance explorations. This is a creative journey from 2D to 3D, from static to fluid, allowing you to discover how images can inspire movement and breathe new life into the body. The session concludes with a sharing session to discuss the creative process and discoveries.

Facilitators

The workshop is facilitated by mentor Tsang Luk-san, who will guide participants in dismantling the boundaries between "stillness" and "flow," encouraging everyone to develop their own movement language through improvisation.
