Cantonese Opera Series: Joyce Koi x Ming Chee Sing Chinese Opera Troupe

The Ming Chee Sing Chinese Opera Troupe will present a spectacular series of Cantonese opera performances at the Sha Tin Town Hall Auditorium from October 21 to 25, 2026. Led by the renowned artist Joyce Koi and accompanied by a distinguished cast including Leung Sum-yee, Chan Hung-chun, Lai Yiu-wai, Chan Ka-ming, and Lui Hung-kwong, this five-day series features six classic repertoires that showcase the essence of traditional Chinese opera.

Programme

This series celebrates the beauty of Cantonese opera with a selection of well-loved classics:

• October 21 (Wed) Night: "The Fairy Couple"
• October 22 (Thu) Night: "The Old Friend at the Rouge Alley"
• October 23 (Fri) Night: "Emperor Ming"
• October 24 (Sat) Matinee: "Happy Reunion at the Flower Field"
• October 25 (Sun) Night: "Reincarnation of the Red Plum Blossom"
• October 25 (Sun) Matinee: "The Butterfly and the Red Pear Blossom"

Please note that there is no intermission for these performances.

Venue & Access

The performances will be held at the Auditorium of Sha Tin Town Hall. To enhance the experience, a complimentary shuttle bus service will be provided, starting 30 minutes before each performance, departing from the Sha Tin MTR station (opposite the Town Hall) directly to the venue. Return bus services are also available after each show.

Tickets are available now via URBTIX. Please be aware that there are no concessionary tickets for seniors, students, or CSSA recipients. Early booking is highly recommended to secure your preferred seating.
