Highlights
The "Art 'Home' Project" is a key component of the "i-Dance Festival (HK) 2026," curated by Y-Space. This project is not merely an exhibition but a dialogue on living spaces and performance art. Challenging the stereotypes of "home," it asks: If art is not just a decoration for comfort, but something that removes the walls to reveal the scenery outside, what would it look like? The project guides audiences to rethink:
- Is a dance studio necessary for dance?
- Must performances be confined to a theater?
- How can "home" be transformed into a performance space?
Program Introduction
This project invites participants to push the boundaries of their imagination. The artists posit that true art is not about making life "comfortable"—rather, it should make one feel "uncomfortable" enough to challenge the status quo and open new perspectives. The project explores what it takes to be an artist and how to organically integrate personal living spaces with performance art.
