Green Power Hike 2027 (34th Edition)

The 34th "Green Power Hike" is set to take place on January 30, 2027. As one of Hong Kong's most historic charity hiking and trail running events, it has engaged over 84,000 participants since its inception in 1994, serving as a beacon for environmental conservation.

Highlights

The event is internationally recognized, holding qualifications from the UTMB® Index and the iTRA National League. It offers three distinct race distances: 50km, 25km, and 10km, catering to runners and hikers of all skill levels. Beyond the sport, the event promotes environmental stewardship by requiring participants to practice "Leave No Trace" principles, collect litter along the trails, and engage with the ecosystem through their senses. All proceeds support Green Power's ecological conservation and environmental education initiatives.

Program

The Hong Kong Trail spans 50 kilometers across five country parks and seven reservoirs. Many of its sections have been recommended by CNN Travel as "best beginner hiking trails." Participants will journey through lush greenery, supporting a noble cause while challenging themselves physically. This year, the event is limited to 3,000 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
