HKU Chinese Orchestra Autumn Concert 2026 - The Night Ferry

Program Introduction

The HKU Cultural Association Chinese Orchestra proudly presents its annual autumn concert, "The Night Ferry." Inspired by the imagery of a night voyage, the concert seeks to guide the audience through a tranquil yet emotive soundscape under the stars. The orchestra will perform a diverse repertoire, including the tender melodies of "Spring to the Xiangjiang River," the exotic and vibrant tones of "Yun Zhi Nan" (Clouds of the South), the nostalgic "Zhi Fou Zhi Fou" (Don't You Know), and the intricately layered "Red Velvet," among other specially curated pieces. This musical journey invites listeners to traverse landscapes, observe nature's beauty, and contemplate the transient nature of life within the human experience.
