Highlights
This is more than just a course on sand art techniques; it is a spiritual and artistic journey to rediscover self-expression and creativity. Centered around the original story narrative 'The Journey of a Grain of Sand: From Seeing Oneself to Connecting with the World,' the course guides participants through the infinite possibilities of sand on a light box. Instructor Hu Aidi (Miss Di) leads participants through an accessible yet profound experience, ensuring that every participant learns not just to draw, but to tell their own stories through sand art.
Core Philosophy
Designed by a professional team, this course breaks away from traditional teaching methods and emphasizes a guided, heart-centered approach. The core philosophy is divided into four key stages:
- Touch: Connecting with the sand, feeling its flow and texture.
- Awareness: Observing the forms and changes of sand art on the light box, bridging internal emotions.
- Expression: Learning sand art techniques to transform inner worlds into visual language.
- Transformation: Elevating personal creative experiences through creation and narrative.
Program Introduction
Starting with a 'single grain of sand' leaving its dune, participants will simulate the journey of exploring the world, overcoming challenges, and eventually learning to articulate their own stories through classroom exercises. Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, all are welcome to join this artistic exploration.
Venue & Access
This course is held at the Hong Kong Arts Centre. Located at 2 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, the centre is easily accessible via MTR and various bus routes. Participants are encouraged to use public transport and follow instructions to reach the designated classroom on the 15th floor.
