Highlights
"HK Musical Dreams" is a theatrical concert that merges historical reflection with modern technology. It threads together 50 years of Hong Kong's musical theatre history, using song and drama to reenact how pioneers courageously paved the way in eras when their work was often misunderstood. This production is more than a concert; it is a soulful dialogue about chasing dreams, transporting the audience into the "Neverland" within the creators' hearts.
Program
The core inspiration comes from Bruce Lee’s assessment of Rebecca Pan’s "White Dragon Maiden," describing it as a production that was "over a decade ahead of its time." The creative team skillfully blends the solitude and persistence of these pioneers with ArtsTech, lighting, sound design, and choreography to create an evocative audiovisual experience. Through a careful arrangement of songs and visuals, this concert invites the audience to examine the past and discover their own dreams on stage.
Performers
The production features a star-studded cast, including Kimman Wong, Mimi Lo, Gary Tam, Leung Chun-man, Leung King-yiu, Leung Tsz-kei, Law Yin, and Chu Bo-ching.
