On May 31, 2026, audiences at the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC) will be treated to a master lecture and an exclusive mini-concert, exploring the profound depth, history, and modern life of this iconic art form.

Programme Highlights

Lautaro Greco is widely regarded as one of the most representative contemporary bandoneon players. A three-time Grammy winner, his artistry is known for its intense tension and poetic expression, deeply rooted in the Argentine tradition yet dynamically modern. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with legendary ensembles, including the Leopoldo Federico Orchestra and the Quinteto Astor Piazzolla, and served as a soloist for the Orquesta Nacional de Música Argentina "Juan de Dios Filiberto".

This evening is divided into two distinct parts:

  1. Master Lecture: A deep dive into the evolution of tango music and history, providing attendees with a foundational understanding of the genre's cultural context.
  2. Mini-Concert: An intimate showcase featuring Lautaro Greco, alongside the renowned Hong Kong Tango Orquesta and star violinist Ruda Lee, pianist Zhou Zhuozhi, and bassist Xiao Weizhong.
